Tingxin Yan is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. He received his PhD from UMASS Amherst under the advisory of Professor Deepak Ganesan in 2012. He received his MS degree from Chinese Academy of Sciences, China and BS degree from Nanjing University, China.

Research Interests

Tingxin Yan is interested in designing mobile systems that combine low-power sensing, ubiquitous wireless communication, and human computation into synergy. His recent research includes wearable computers, context-aware mobile systems, participatory sensing, human-computer hybrid systems, and large-scale mobile crowdsourcing applications.
