    Jia Di was born in Beijing, China, and it was at Tsinghua University where he completed his B.S. and M.S. degrees in 1997 and 2000, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida, Orlando in 2004. He joined the Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department of the University of Arkansas as an assistant professor in August 2004. Dr. Jia Di and his wife, Yan Huo, are the proud new parents of a baby daughter born in October 2004.
